Closing of the MIND project: promoting mental health in VET sector

MINDEuropean Projects20 October 2025

The Erasmus+ MIND project is coming to an end. Coordinated by a European consortium, it aimed to strengthen the consideration of mental health within the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET). To achieve this, several practical tools were created for professionals and learners. Since its launch, the project has helped develop accessible resources and raise awareness among many stakeholders about the importance of emotional well-being in learning and mobility pathways.

1. A European study on mental health needs

The first step of the project consisted of conducting a needs analysis within the VET sector.
This study, carried out among trainers and young learners, identified key vulnerability factors and action levers to support mental well-being.
The results served as the foundation for the design of the educational tools developed throughout the project.

2. Two guides on mental health

Based on the study’s findings, two complementary guides were developed:

  • Prevention Guide: provides concrete benchmarks, early warning signs, and simple strategies to act before a crisis occurs

  • Promotion Guide: encourages practices that foster mental health, such as open dialogue, recognition of emotions, and the creation of a positive environment.

These two guides complement each other: one anticipates difficulties, while the other builds a protective and caring atmosphere.

3. A training course for learners

Using the guides as a foundation, a training kit for learners was designed.
This resource offers a step-by-step learning path, including interactive modules, exercises, and practical case studies.
It aims to transform knowledge into action, empowering professionals with the tools and confidence to support young people experiencing distress.

4. An interactive digital tool – the MIND narrative game

The fourth output of the project is the interactive digital tool, the MIND narrative game.
This online platform explores four modules — emotion, daily life, anxiety, and stress — to help users better understand mental health and discover useful techniques for self-care.
Thanks to its narrative format, navigation becomes immersive: users make choices, follow storylines, and live a truly engaging experience.
The tool is available in six languages.

5. Final event: presentation during the Erasmus Days

On October 15th, 2025, ADICE organized MindUp’, a closing event marking the end of two years of collective work with its European partners.
Around thirty professionals involved in youth work gathered in Lille to exchange ideas, reflect, and experiment together.

This event allowed participants to:

  • discover the tools created within the MIND project;

  • take part in two workshops inspired by the training kit, exploring the role of emotions, resilience, and coping mechanisms.

Conclusion

The MIND project laid the foundations for an integrated approach to mental health in VET, combining research, educational tools, and digital resources.
Together with its European partners, ADICE will continue to disseminate and promote these tools, helping to strengthen awareness and foster healthier, more inclusive, and caring learning environments.
