Further information

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The Foundation manages a safe, private apartment in a residential area of La Paz, ensuring access to basic utilities, internet, and nearby services like markets and banks. To reach the “Hogar Trampolín” in El Alto, the volunteer will use the city’s unique public transport system, including minibuses and the cable car (Teleférico) network. A standard ESC monthly allowance and pocket money are provided to cover food and personal expenses. The administrative team provides initial guidance on safe routes and local mobility to ensure the volunteer’s stability and security.

Training during the activity
Volunteers will participate in an Aymara language and worldview course. Since many residents come from rural areas, understanding Aymara culture is vital for building trust and providing empathetic support. Technical training focuses on the specialized care model for trafficking survivors, Bolivian child protection regulations, and active listening techniques. This training ensures the volunteer can navigate the cultural and professional landscape effectively while providing high-quality social intervention.
