Green digitalisation: recognition for eGreen

eGreenEuropean Projects13 December 2024

The Erasmus+ eGreen project, led by ADICE and its partners, was recently awarded the "Good Practice" label by the Erasmus+ France Agency. This distinction highlights the quality of this initiative aimed at reducing the environmental impact of digital technologies in vocational education and training.

eGreen - bonnes pratiques

What is the “Good Practice” label?

Awarded by the Erasmus+ France Agency, this label is a mark of quality granted to projects that have demonstrated “high-quality implementation” according to strict criteria set by the European Commission. These criteria include:

  • The relevance of the project;
  • The overall quality of implementation;
  • The quality of cooperation within the consortium;
  • The impact and dissemination of results.

eGreen: tools for sustainable digitalisation

Since its launch, eGreen has developed four innovative educational tools to promote digital sustainability in vocational education and training:

  1. A transnational study on best practices across Europe.
  2. A practical toolkit offering concrete solutions to reduce the digital footprint.
  3. A training kit designed to raise awareness among learners about the environmental impact of digital technologies.
  4. An interactive quiz to discover your eco-responsible profile and receive personalised recommendations.

These resources, available in multiple languages, are free of charge and accessible to a broad audience.

Recognition through key events

In recent months, eGreen and its tools have been showcased at three major events:

  • During workshops held at the 2024 annual conference, “Building a Sustainable Future Together”, organised by the Erasmus+ France and Finland Agencies in Marseille (France). This event brought together European stakeholders from education, youth, and sports sectors.
  • In a presentation session for the “Green Contact Points,” the sustainability representatives present in all Erasmus+ National Agencies.
  • At the 7th Digital Inclusion Breakfast, organised by the City of Roubaix (France).
