The final international conference of the Erasmus + »I am an active member of multinational society« project took place on the 29th June in Nova Gorica, Slovenia.
It was an inspiring event, a precious opportunity to build new connections and partnerships, to exchange experiences and make plans for the future. Every project partner presented an outline of the activities carried out in their own country which finally resulted in two valuable and interesting publications – Methodology and guidelines for train the trainer course and Curriculum – Programme for social integration of women – third country nationals. Special attention was given to the implementation value of the two intellectual results and the possible variations of use in adult education, especially in the field of integration.
Following the international event in Slovenia, final conferences took place in all partner countries.
In Turkey, the National conference was combined with the certificate ceremony for their training course participants and a concert was organized as a cultural activity. Most participants joined the event to learn more about the project and do some networking, however they also enjoyed meeting the training course participants, witnessed their certificate ceremony and shared their feelings as well as being audience for a multilingual concert.
In Italy, the final conference represented an important moment to show project results and to reflect on the limits of opportunities and strategies in order to support the integration of migrant women in the labour market. During the first part, the results of the project ” I’M ACTIVE + ” were presented and in the second part of the conference the speakers focused on issues related to European integration programs, labour market and migrant women, training courses and “care work”.
The final conference in Roubaix, France, took place in August and included a presentation of the project as well as a workshop on identifying and valorizing one’s experience and competences gained in non-formal and informal learning situations.
Our Croatian partners organized their final event in July. The project and its results were presented in the context of Croatia’s post-war experience with migration and several speakers emphasized the important role of projects such as I’m active in the process of integration, especially in these turbulent times.
Further dissemination activities, planned in all partner countries after the project’s formal conclusion include round tables, seminars and practical presentations of the manuals developed.
The project wants to raise employability of women in Europe in the age between 20-64, especially among those with fewer opportunities by improving the level of their key competencies and skills and thus making them more compatible to the needs of the labour market and society in general. The project will enable disadvantaged groups to take part in lifelong learning programmes, career guidance and counselling.
